How We Started
The origins of Centrum date back to the 1950’s when young scientist Dr. Leon Ellenbogen began studying how therapeutic levels of vitamins could potentially treat cancer patients. As a result, Ellenbogen developed a keen interest in vitamins and how they can benefit human health.

The first Centrum multivitamin launched in 1978. Since then, our brand has grown. Backed by over 40 years of science, Centrum is now the #1 doctor-recommended and #1 pharmacist recommended multivitamin brand.
A Tradition of Innovation
